For the first time ever, the 3rd International Conference on Food Design offers an opportunity for the worldwide Food Design community to virtually meet, mingle and share research and projects. The 3rd International Conference on Food Design is the first completely virtual and completely free conference for academics, professionals, and industries.
The 3rd International Conference on Food Design follows the Second International Conference on Food Design (New York, 2015), and theFirst International Conference on Designing Food and Designing For Food (London, 2012), but this time, we go VIRTUAL!
This conference will be 100% Virtual and 100% Free, but still with everything a conference needs: a reviewing process, Conference Proceedings, presentations, a space for networking, a Food Design Exhibition, and the possibility to publish in a Journal.
Participants can apply for:
RESEARCH PRESENTATIONS: This session is for researchers, from industry or academia, who have contributed to the Food Design world and want to share their findings for the benefit of the industry, practitioners, and other researchers. The conference will have proceedings with ISBN.
Outcome: 15 min presentation + abstract in Conference Proceedings (see below) + possibility for your paper to be selected for the International Journal of Food Design.
PRACTICE PRESENTATIONS: This session is for designers, design students, and researchers who have worked on improving this world with tangible solutions. This session is about projects, products, system, services, and anything designed for and around food as a material, and for and around the act of eating. Selected projects will enter the Virtual Food Design Exhibition.
Outcome: 15 min presentation + project in the Virtual Food Design Exhibition (see below)
DISCUSSION ROOMS: Discussion Rooms are virtual rooms where a group of experts tackle, disassemble, dive into one Food Design issue, providing different perspectives, arguments, and points of view, and finally generating together a new insight, understanding, and conclusion.
Outcome: 30 min discussion + abstract in Conference Proceedings (see below) + possibility for your paper to be selected for the International Journal of Food Design.
